The exciting, festive Sleaford Christmas Market organised by Sleaford Town Council took place on Advent Sunday, 1st December 2024, from 11.00am to 4.30pm.

The Christmas Market was held in the centre of town in Eastgate Car Park, Eastgate Green, Navigation Yard, the Town Hall and Riverside Shopping Centre. There were other events that took place on the same day by other groups and businesses. This year, due to refurbishment works in the Market Place, this area wasn't able to be included in the plans.

There was so much to see and do for all the family on the day! Relaxing horse carriage rides around town, a wide range of stalls (almost 100) selling fabulous items, tasty food and drink and seating to unwind on, live music, dancing and entertainment, interactions with walkabout characters from a stilt walker, to a polar bear to Victorian Carol singers, fairground rides and games. There were also face painters for the children and balloon modelling (all free of charge).

The event opened at 11.00am in Eastgate Car Park by the Mayor of Sleaford and the Town Crier. There was a Christingle Service in Riverside Shopping Centre at 3.30pm and the Christmas tree lights were switched on at 4.15pm in Riverside, as well as the town's Christmas lights.

We teamed up with Junior Parkrun on the morning of the Christmas Market at Boston Road Recreation Ground at 9.00am. All runners (age 4 to 14) received a Christmas medal from the Mayor of Sleaford.
