Parks & Open Spaces
Sleaford Town Council own and maintain the following play areas and open spaces in Sleaford:
Castlefield
This is the site of Sleaford Castle and is accessed from Castle Causeway. This is a 6.2 acre site and is grassed over the remains of the castle leaving mounds and hollows. The area is managed to encourage wildlife.

Dogs are welcome in Castlefield but must be kept on a lead. Bins for disposing of dog waste and litter are provided in the area.

Eastgate Green
This small 0.75 acre site is situated between Eastgate Car Park and the River Slea. It is grassed and has many mature trees. Dogs are welcome on Eastgate Green but must be kept on a lead. Bins for disposing of dog waste and litter are provided in the area.
Boston Road Recreation Ground
Situated on Boston Road, this 13.8 acre site has many mature trees and is grassed throughout. It is the largest of the town's open spaces. It has the facilities of a Skate Park, toddler and junior play areas, toilets and a kiosk. Dogs are welcome on the Recreation Ground, but not in the fenced toddler play area. It is against the law to allow a dog to foul a public space and not clear up after them. Bins for disposing of dog waste and litter are provided.

George Street Play Area
The play area is accessed off George Street, Rhodes Avenue and Dove Close. It is a 2.2 acre grassed site and has the facilities of toddler and junior play equipment, plus a multi sports area. Dogs are welcome in George Street Play Area but must be kept on a lead. It is against the law to allow a dog to foul a public space and not clear up after them, a bin for disposing of dog waste is provided.
Woodside Play Area
Comprising of a 5.5 acre grassed area this site is located alongside Sleaford Wood which is managed by the Woodland Trust. Access is from Beech Rise and Summerfield Close. It has the facilities of a multiplay unit. Dogs are welcome in the Woodside Play Area. It is against the law to allow a dog to foul a public space and not clear up after them, bins for disposing of dog waste are provided at the entrances.
Meadowfield Play Area
With entrances off Meadowfield and Newfield Road, this is the smallest of the Town Council's play areas at 0.75 of an acre. It has the facilities of toddler and junior play equipment and a kick wall. Dogs are not allowed at the Meadowfield Play Area.
Lincoln Road Play Area
Accessed from Lincoln Road and Lomax Drive, this 1.2 acre site is grassed. It has the facilities of toddler and junior play equipment and a kick wall. Dogs are not allowed at Lincoln Road Play Area.
Peacock Court
(Sleaford Town Council only maintains this area)
This small fenced area at Peacock Court off Mareham Lane consists of a toddler swing, springer and small multiplay unit.
Spire View
(Sleaford Town Council only maintains this area)
This small fenced play area is situated on the Spire View estate off Northfield Road in Quarrington and consists of a multi play unit and toddler swings.
All the open spaces and play equipment are checked weekly for damage and the areas are litter picked regularly.The play equipment is also inspected on an annual basis by a third party company. Any equipment found to be damaged or faulty is repaired or removed as soon as possible.
