The Mayor of Sleaford for 2024/2025, Councillor David Suiter, has announced the Mayoral charities for the year.

They are Rainbow Stars and Evergreen Sleaford.

Rainbow Stars are an inclusive and friendly community group providing support for parents, carers, siblings and individuals with disabilities or those seeking a diagnosis. Their Sleaford hub offers events for all ages and abilities, including a fabulous multi-sensory room.

Evergreen Sleaford aims to respond to the high demand for community based opportunities for social contact amongst older people by providing a simple friendship. Each friendship is a commitment between one volunteer befriender and the service user. This is a free and confidential service, supporting senior citizens in making the most of their life experience into old age. The scheme is operated throughout Sleaford and a surrounding 10 mile radius.
