Cllr Lorimer was first co-opted on to the Town Council in October 2012 and was re-elected to it at the elections held on Thursday 4th May 2023.

Cllr Lorimer is a member of the Finance and Human Resources committees of the Council. She is also the Council's representative to meetings of the North Kesteven District Council Homelessness Forum and one of the Council's two representatives to the Sleaford Culture & Heritage Forum.
